Fabian’s Farewell
Over the past three months, Fabian Stampfli of Lüsslingen, Switzerland, has taken part in our exchange program with the company Aeschlimann AG Décolletages. Besides working with us at Precision Plus, Fabian has also taken advantage of this chance to immerse himself in our culture outside of work – trying new foods, cheering alongside fellow sports fans, and even participating in the all-American family road trip. Here is Fabian’s farewell to his host family and Precision Plus, written in his native German. It’s a great way for us to understand that on a daily basis, he was formulating his thoughts in one language, then translating to another before speaking them. Liebes Precision Plus Team, Liebe Gastfamilie
Am 19 März begann mein Abenteurer USA, nun ist es schon vorbei.
Ich möchte mich bei allen Leuten bedanken, welche an meinem Aufenthalt hier
In Amerika beteiligt waren.
Ich bin sehr beeindruckt von diesem Land.
Die Natur hier ist wunderschön. Soweit man schauen kann, überall riesen Felder und viel Wald das ist toll.
Der Nachteil ist, dass die Distanzen mit dem Auto einiges grösser sind als ich es kenne.
Ich war überrascht wie schön und sauber die Stadt Chicago war.
Zu den Highlights gehören natürlich auch die Spiele der Blackhawks und Brewers. Es gibt sehr viele Sportbegeisterte Fans, das mag ich.
All die grossen Trucks waren ebenfalls ziemlich cool, leider ist das Benzin in der Schweiz zu teuer für solche Fahrzeuge.
Die Menschen hier sind viel offener als in Europa. Jeder spricht mit einem und will etwas unternehmen.
Ich wurde vom ersten Tag an sehr gut aufgenommen und sehr freundlich begrüsst.
Jeder begegnetet mir sehr offen, freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Arbeit hat mir sehr Spass gemacht, nicht zuletzt dank den Mitarbeitern von Precision plus. Ihr seid ein echt tolles Team und es war ein Vergnügen mit euch zu arbeiten
Ein sehr wichtiger Teil war meine Gastfamilie. Ich hatte eine super Zeit mit Familie Reader, sie behandelten mich wie ihr eigener Sohn.
Ich werde die Kochkünste von Pat und all die lustigen Wochenende vermissen.
Danke Pat, Mike, Mike jr und Ryan, dass ich die letzten 3 Monate mit euch verbringen durfte.
Danke Precision + und Aeschlimann AG, dass ihr mir die Möglichkeit gegeben habt diese tollen 3 Monate hier zu verbringen.
Ich werde diese Zeit niemals vergessen und hoffe euch alle bald wieder zu sehen.

Dear Precision Plus Team & Guest Family,
On 19 March began my adventurers USA, now it is already over.I would like to thank all the people which of my stay here in America were involved. I am very impressed by this country. The nature here is beautiful. As far as you can see everywhere giant fields and a lot of forest which is great. The disadvantage is that the distances by car much bigger than i know.
I was surprised at how nice and clean the city of Chicago. Among the highlights are of course also the games of the Black Hawks and brewers. There are very many sports enthusiastic fans, I like that. All the big trucks were also pretty cool, unfortunately the petrol in Switzerland too expensive for such vehicles. The people here are much more open than in Europe. Everyone speaks with a company and wants something.
I was from the first day was very well received and very friendly. Each begeg tested me very open, friendly and helpful. The work has been very fun, not least thanks to the staff of precision plus. You are a real great team and it was a pleasure to work with you. A very important part was my host family. I had a great time with family reader, they treated me like her own son. I am the cooking of pat and all the fun weekend miss.
Thank Pat, Mike, Mike Jr and Ryan, that I was the last 3 months should spend with you. Thank precision and Aeschlimann AG that you have given me the opportunity this great to stay here for 3 months. I will never forget this time and i hope you all again soon to see.

The Reader family and the Precision Plus team have enjoyed getting to know Fabian. We have such wonderful memories of his time spent with us. We wish him well and know that we have made a lifelong friend. We will always keep in touch. Aufwiedersehen, Fabian!
