We always enjoy inviting students to Precision Plus to show them what an advanced manufacturing facility really looks like, as well as the career opportunities that can be available to them in the future. Earlier this week, we welcomed 32 seventh grade math students from Phoenix Middle School in Delavan.

Change Your Game: The New PMPA Education Foundation Website

Today we celebrate the launch of the new PMPA Education Foundation website featuring the “Change Your Game” video. This project was commissioned by our industry foundation to raise awareness of the rewarding career opportunities in machining, and manufacturing in general. We are targeting an audience combined of students, educators, parents, and elected officials. Mark Beilman and William Sanchez recently had the opportunity to join Phoenix Middle School’s Annual Career Fair. Precision Plus was one of about two dozen presenters from area businesses and post-secondary schools, helping students get an early start on their college and career planning.

Mark Beilman, Director of Education & Training, and Barb Cates, HR Administrator, recently attended “Building Your Talent Pipeline Through Apprenticeship” at Blackhawk Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Milton, Wisconsin. The event included a presentation from Cindy Anderson & Tracy Jallah from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards.

We continue to lead the charge for American manufacturing and workforce development, helping to cultivate talent here in our own community.

Investing in the Future Workforce – EAHS Technical Education

In the spring of 2015, the community of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, was asked to vote on a school referendum to the tune of $20,420,000.  This was a serious decision for voters in the midst of much economic uncertainty, but the community responded with 62.8% of the votes in favor of the school investment that would update the infrastructure, most notably, the reinvestment in the Technical Education wing of the high school building.

Annual MSOE Career Fair – September 29-30

Once again, Precision Plus will attend Milwaukee School of Engineering’s (MSOE) Fall Career Fair. The event takes place September 29th and 30th. Organizers decided to make it a two-day event this year to allow for more time and opportunity for students and alumni to attend.

As the school year wraps up for area students, there has been plenty of activity at Precision Plus in the areas of Education, Training and Workforce Development. On May 19th, Precision Plus and Director of Education & Training Mark Beilman welcomed 20 students from Delavan Middle School.
