Looking Forward to 2021 at Precision Plus

Let’s face it, 2020 wasn’t the year anyone hoped it would be. Though we made it through to the end stronger as a team united towards a common goal, we all welcomed 2021 with open arms. With hopes of “normal” life returning to us in the first half of 2021, we look with bright eyes at all the possibilities of this New Year.

Our team has already come up with many grand ideas for growth in 2021, all of which I am eager to share with you. The first project that I’m really excited about includes plans to create new and fresh content for our YouTube page. Our digital marketing team is looking forward to showcasing the exciting world of advanced manufacturing right here in Southeast Wisconsin, with Titan Gilroy at TITANS of CNC as inspiration.

Speaking of excitement, the team is buzzing with the thought of welcoming the local community back in the doors of Precision Plus for our 2021 Manufacturing Month Open House event in October! Since we skipped a year, the 2021 event will be filled with new activities to be bigger and better than ever before. Stay tuned throughout the year for updates, along with the formal date of the event so you can mark your calendars.

2021 also brings increased investments in our education programs, as Precision Plus continues to improve on training the future of manufacturing to include our youth, young adults, and fellow team members. Last year, Stefan Brusky, Director of Education & Business Development, joined the team and brings with him many years of manufacturing experience. Stefan’s passion of life-long learning allows him to introduce manufacturing and engineering principles with our interns, youth apprentices, and team members, all with a hands-on approach.

Focusing on company culture is a 2021 priority at Precision Plus and to kick off the new year, the Pillar Among Peers program, based off our Four Pillars (Integrity, Empowerment, Innovation, and Respect) has been initiated. Pillar Among Peers is a peer-based program to reward and recognize the outstanding work members of our team do each and every day. The originator and lead of the Pillar Among Peers program, COO Dave Strand, enthusiastically encourages team members to submit nominations and happily gifts spins of the WOW Wheel to deserving team members.

Many recent brainstorming activities to identify new articles to showcase on The Plus resulted in the “Life of A Part” series and we are really looking forward to sharing this with you. Through this upcoming blog series, team members will walk you through the life of a precision machined part at Precision Plus, starting with our engineering capabilities, to manufacturing the parts, then on to quality assurance inspection, secondary, and finishing processes, and finally packaging and shipping the parts to our clients.

Not even a month in yet and we already have a lot of great things in the works. With continuous investments in talented people and new technology, Precision Plus has the capacity to take on new business opportunities. If your company has a challenge that needs solving, please reach out as our team welcomes any opportunity to provide solutions.

I am optimistic about what this year has in store for us, and hope that things are looking positive for you and yours. Until my next letter, stay safe, optimistic, and let’s make 2021 the best yet.

Best Regards,

Mike Reader, President
