Meet Adam Rosseland, Second Shift Tsugami Machine Operator
Adam Rosseland has always taken pride in what he does–from serving our country as Private First Class in the U.S. Army for three years, to continuing his education, heading a great family, and excelling as a machine operator on the Tsugami Swiss Micromachining Platform at Precision Plus (PPI).
Adam Rosseland joined the PPI Team in 2004, after receiving an Associate Degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology at the Elkhorn Campus of Gateway Technical College. Prior to that, Adam worked as a welder and troubleshooter at Stack-On and at Motorola on equipment that placed computer chips on boards to make mobile phone communication possible.
At Precision Plus, he has worked on multiple platforms, including Tornos CAM, Hanwha and Tsugami. Over time, he has learned to do many of his own repairs. Additionally, he is able to run a variety of difficult parts with tight tolerances.
Sue Machiafava, Second Shift Supervisor and Adam’s immediate supervisor, comments, “What I like about Adam is his dedication to the company and his pride in making quality parts. Whether he’s running two or five machines, Adam has the initiative to keep busy. He is definitely a huge asset to Precision Plus”
Adam appreciates that his workday is not always routine or predictable. “I’m learning new things constantly,” he adds. “I am often challenged with tackling several situations at the same time, but, at the end of the day, those challenges are what I like most about my job.”
Adam and his wife Anita, have three grown children and eleven grandchildren who live nearby, and they enjoy spending time with them. He and Anita are also avid ‘60s and ‘70s rock music fans, and often go antiquing to find albums from those decades to add to their collection.
His hands-on approach to life does not stop after his workday is done. At home, he is the resident “IT Guy,” tending to their three desktops and two laptops. Adam also enjoys working on DIY projects, having recently completed the installation of a closet organizer in one of their bedrooms. Both Adam and his wife love to cook international dishes including Italian, Chinese, and of course, American cuisine.
