A Note From Michael Reader

Off to a Great Start, but We’re Not Done Yet

June 29th, 2021 (Elkhorn, WI) – I was optimistic coming into 2021, but am completely blown away by the group effort and teamwork I have seen. To say we’ve had an outstanding year thus far is a complete understatement. I am so proud of the collective efforts of everyone at Precision Plus, which does not happen without good vision and even better execution by great people.

My goals for the company have always been growth and continuous improvement. All this takes time but our continuous investments in people, training, and technology are paying off. Looking back 25 years when I first joined the team, the transformation is truly remarkable, and it all starts with great people aligned in executing the vision.

The introduction of our Pillar Among Peers award this year has also been a great execution of our core values. We see multiple nomination forms coming in every month from team members, full of glowing recognition of their peer’s daily contributions. Everyone truly wants to succeed together and see hard work recognized, which as a leader, is all I can hope for. I must also note, the level of talent we’ve seen come through the doors lately is truly incredible. The word is out, manufacturing is a great career and Precision Plus is leading the way right here in SE Wisconsin. We are always looking to add to the team; if you are a self-starting, hard-working individual looking to begin your career, give us a call or stop in.

I am also excited to announce our talented group of interns and apprentices who have joined us for the summer. In the engineering department, we have Samantha B. returning for her 4th summer with us, who will begin her senior year this fall at U.W. Platteville, and Collin F., a junior at MSOE, who is starting his first summer with us. Our Digital Marketing & Social Media intern, Raymond J., will be with us all summer, where he continues to spearhead our digital marketing efforts. Raymond will enter his senior year at U.W. Green Bay this fall. We are pleased to have recent high school graduates join our production team, these include Hunter C., Kaylee D., and Brian P. Gage B. is joining us as an intern, while attending Gateway Technical College as a full-time student. Rounding out our crew this summer are our Youth Apprentices, including Josiah H. & Mike B. from Elkhorn Area High School, and Caden L. from Mighty River Virtual Academy. We have had great success with our interns and YA’s in the past, and I know this success will continue with this group of young men and women.

With Independence Day right around the corner, I want to take a moment and remind all of us what the upcoming long weekend is truly about. Our celebrations and get togethers would not be possible without our forefathers’ vision, the incredible sacrifices made to secure our freedoms, and our troops still fighting to defend them. Thank you to our service men and women for all you have done and continue to do for our country. With that being said, Precision Plus will be closed Monday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day. Many Precision Plus team members along with our new team building rig, will be participating in the Spring Grove, IL 4th of July Parade which starts at noon on Sunday. If you happen to attend, give us a wave! Stay tuned for photos of our crew having fun while celebrating our nation’s birthday.

We have so much to be grateful for this year and guess what, we’re not done yet. I see many more great things to come in the second half of 2021. With one of the most talented, hard-working, and dedicated teams around, I know our success will continue. Until my next letter, stay safe and stay cool.

Best Regards,
Mike Reader, President
